Follow Through is Everything

“We provide great care, and when there’s something we don’t know…we get a referral to someone who does.”
Following through matters and could save someone’s life. Recently, a woman came into the Community Care Center for a dental cleaning. She had esophageal cancer in her medical history, so the dental hygienist had our volunteer dentist check her out. The dentist sent her to an oral surgeon. It’s a great example of how diligent our dental professionals are with our patients.
One of our dental hygienists said “We provide great care, and when there’s something we don’t know, we don’t overlook it. We get a referral to someone who will know. Oral cancer is scary and can be deforming and fatal.” We’re so grateful that we can provide free dental services for our uninsured community members. We don’t know how the story ended yet, but are thankful to be a part of it.
