Martha had been struggling for years to regain control of her life. A Latina woman in her 40s, Martha lost her young adult son to an accidental substance overdose. She found herself in a prolonged depressive episode having difficulty reengaging with her family and friends. At the Community Care Center, Martha is receiving psychiatric medication management, medical services, and psychotherapy services to address her depressive symptoms. Martha has returned to growing her small business and focusing on her relationship with her other child. Martha is no longer isolated and is using her experience to help guide others out of their difficult situations.
