Remembering Jim Robinson

The Community Care Clinic family is mourning the loss of our co-founder, first Executive Director, and lifelong champion for accessible healthcare, Jim Robinson.

Some people leave behind memories.

Others leave behind a legacy that continues changing lives every single day.

Jim leaves both.

More than 25 years ago, Jim helped establish the Community Care Clinic with a bold vision: that no one in our community should go without healthcare simply because they lacked insurance. Through his leadership, perseverance, and compassion, that vision became a reality.

For two decades, Jim guided the Clinic from its earliest days into a trusted source of hope and healing for thousands of uninsured individuals and families. He inspired physicians, dentists, nurses, volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, and community leaders to unite around a simple but powerful mission—to care for our neighbors with dignity and compassion.

Today, every medical appointment, every restored smile, every counseling session, every specialist referral, and every healthier future made possible through the Community Care Clinic reflects the foundation Jim helped build.

Those who knew Jim remember his quiet humility, genuine kindness, steadfast faith, and remarkable ability to bring people together in service of others. His leadership was never about recognition—it was always about people.

Last fall, Jim served as Honorary Chair of our 25th Anniversary Celebration. Looking back, we are especially grateful we had the opportunity to thank him for his extraordinary contributions.

Our hearts are with Jim’s wife, family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.
