Beat the Heat 5K Brings Our Community Together to Support Uninsured Patients

What a fantastic day!

The Community Care Clinic was honored to participate in this year’s Cook Medical Beat the Heat 5K, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped make the event such a tremendous success.

This year, 26 members of Team CCC proudly represented the clinic. Our team included runners, walkers, Fun Run participants, enthusiastic cheerleaders, and medical volunteers who helped keep participants safe throughout the event. Seeing our staff, volunteers, supporters, and friends come together around a shared mission was truly inspiring.

We’re especially proud that one of our dedicated charity runners finished 4th among all fundraising participants, helping raise vital support for the uninsured patients we serve every day.

Events like Beat the Heat are about so much more than crossing a finish line. They bring our community together around the belief that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Cook Medical and the Twin City Track Club for selecting Community Care Clinic as one of this year’s charity partners. Their generosity, leadership, and commitment to our community make it possible to raise both awareness and critical funding for the patients who depend on our services.

Finally, thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, donor, sponsor, and supporter who participated. Your enthusiasm and generosity help ensure that uninsured neighbors in our community continue to receive compassionate medical, dental, behavioral health, and specialty services when they need them most.

Together, we proved that a morning of fun, fitness, and fellowship can make a lasting impact on the health of our community.
